SAINT   JOHN

SAINT JOHN is a solo project of John H. based in San Antonio, Texas. A new venture into the world of minimalist power electronics, Saint John produces gritty industrial poetic vignettes of sound. Inspired musically by bands and pop idols  such as Suicide, Madonna, and Nico. These dark melodies meet with equally disconcerting lyrics reminiscent of the works of Jean Genet and Dennis Cooper, longing and murderous passion, grandeur and destitution. Saint John also enlists the help of San Antonio artists and directors to produce elaborate music videos inspired by Old Hollywood, Andy Warhol, Catholicism, Kenneth Anger, and vintage gay porn.
